Where the evidence leads
In a previous post reference was made to a letter presented to the UN and heads of state at the end of the Bali conference. The letter was signed by scientists who questioned the evidence for man made global warming. Their assertion was that “significant new peer-reviewed research has cast even more doubt on the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused global warming”. (source) If indeed, new evidence has come to light then scientists would follow where the evidence leads. Or would they? Now a list of 400 scientists has been compiled who also claim that recent evidence points in a different direction.
If the evidence points in a new direction and scientists go where the evidence leads then the public will respect the scientists. But if the scientists stonewall and only change their opinion after a long battle then science will reach a new low in the public mind.
