Rotten to the core

HUGE news hit the blogosphere:  emails from government-funded climate scientists have been obtained and released by a hacker/insider and, if this is not a hoax, they show a disturbing attempt to control scientific journals in an attempt to deny any scientific dissent from the IPCC ‘consensus’ about global temperature reconstructions.

Science becomes totally corrupted when a small group of scientists seek to control what is published in  journal articles. Emails leaked to the internet indicate that such a thing may have happened. Consider this disquieting sample:

“I will be emailing the journal to tell them I’m having nothing more to do with it until they rid themselves of this troublesome editor.”“It results from this journal having a number of editors. The responsible one for this is a well-known skeptic in NZ. He has let a few papers through by Michaels and Gray in the past. I’ve had words with Hans von Storch about this, but got nowhere. Another thing to discuss in Nice !”

As quoted in:http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/jamesdelingpole/100017393/climategate-the-final-nail-in-the-coffin-of-anthropogenic-global-warming/

Don’t expect to read any skeptical papers in the Journal of Climate. Given the published views of the chief editor, Dr. Andrew Weaver, this is one journal that would willingly cave in to the politically correct orthodoxy. Since Weaver has had influence on B.C. climate policy it may be time for the government to review their policy!
